For care seekers
How do I book a carer?
Search locally with your postcode, view profiles, request your chosen carer, agree arrangements, pay & confirm your booking securely through the platform.
What qualifications or checks do carers have?
All carers complete DBS, identity and right-to-work checks, along with our Care Quality Framework process. Individual qualifications and experience are shown on each profile.
Do I get to choose the carer?
Yes. You browse verified profiles and choose the carer who best fits your needs. The final decision is always yours.
How much do carers cost?
Carers set their own rates, which are displayed clearly on their profiles. There are no hidden agency mark-ups.
How do I book recurring care?
If you would like recurring care, rather than a one off booking, you have 2 options. 1) You can book directly on our site each time you want your care. 2) You can select recurring booking when requesting your carer. You simply fill out your requirements, weekly, fortnightly etc and we will set up a recurring payment to facilitate your request.
Can I use The Care App for Direct Payment funded or Personal Health Budget funded care?
Absolutely! Direct Payment funded, Personal Health Budget funded and Privately funded care are all suitable for The Care App bookings.
For carers
How do I register?
Simple as 1,2,3. You click register, you submit your documents, we review and get you verified.
What information do I need to provide?
We require ID documents, DBS documents and any care certifications to get you started.
Do I set my own rate?
You set your own rates, no agency or industry pressures. We respect all carers time, that's why we allow all carers to set a daytime rate, and evening & overnight rate should they wish to do so.
When do I get paid?
Payments are made once a care job is complete. We will ensure funds are received prior to your booking, so that you do not need to chase up payments and you can attend your bookings with peace of mind.
Do I stay self-employed?
Absolutely, this is your platform, your rates, your terms, your competence and your care. All carers on the care app remain fully self-employed.
