As an adult nurse who specializes in residential, nursing, and dementia care, I approach my work with a calm, compassionate, and diligent mindset. My area of particular interest lies in wound management and tissue viability nursing. At present, I am seeking a position in the care home setting where I can contribute to the improvement of residents' wellbeing and work as part of a compassionate and collaborative team. Part of my functions are: complete referrals to professionals such as nutrition and dietetics, tissue viability nurses, podiatry, physiotherapy, CHC referrals, diabetes nurses, district nurses, etc. Performs monthly and interim medicine orders and medicine changeover. Perform GP rounds. Formulate and develop care plans and risk assessments. Perform wound care for oedema or lymphedema, and use a VAC pump for pressure ulcers, and minor wounds. Perform catheterization such as urinary and suprapubic catheters and venipuncture/blood extractions. Conduct MDT/DST meetings for CHC.
